Please read the Rules, FAQ, and check the Reservations as well as the Taken Characters lists before applying. Note that the Rules and FAQ are required reading!
Take care that you also read the application guidelines carefully. After proofreading your application, you may submit. It would help to check that all parts of your application are labeled; this will help make the application process faster. All applications will be screened until the final decisions are made.
Copy, paste, and fill out the form below, then send in your application as posts. Players, you're likely going to have to send in your application in seperate, multiple parts. Therefore, please title your posts for our convenience. That is, use labels such as Rufus Application 1, Rufus Application 2, and so on.
This is how the application's broken down. Please read the description below in order to fulfill the minimum expectations required.

♥ Character Information
Name: Your character's name.
Age: Your character's age. If there's no canon on it, then you may decide. But note that we do not condone under-aged characters in adult situations.
Personality: A lengthy paragraph or two describing what makes your character's personal clock tick. This is one of the more important aspects of your application, showcasing your portrayal of the character. The meat, the substance, and quite honestly, the most interesting read.
Here are some suggestions if you're stuck on what to write. How does he/she perceive the world? Is there anything conflicting in their personality? Contradictory? Did anything change the way they used to be compared to how they are now? Consider multiple perspectives of this character. How might he or she feel internally but act externally? How does he or she respond to different kinds of people in their lives? To extreme or mild situations? Characters are flat, boring, and one dimensional if they never experienced some sort of changing moment in their view of principles, facts. Many human beings, though they may not find reason to change the core, the essence, of who they are, all come across a day when they question the reality of what they do, what they stand for, and why they do what they do. Then they must come to terms with some realizations as to their motivations, inspirations, what transformed them into this phase in their lifestage.
Now, if your character is very minor canon-wise, then we won't count it against you for leaving a bit to be desired. But make the attempt on elaboration, taking what you know from text as your support. We always appreciate a genuine effort.
Strengths: One brief paragraph about their physical or mental strengths, as well as their talents. In terms of how this looks, it'll be 5 lengthy sentences or 10 short sentences. Therefore, the average should be 7-8.
Need help? Consider these. Are they smart? Brave? Bold? Charismatic? Strong? Cunning? Deceptive? Witty? Amusing? Beautiful? Clean? Used to being dirty? Thick-skinned? Are they well endowed [physically, financially, emotionally, etc]? Born in the right place at the right time [grew up street smart and road-slick, or grew up well-bred and highly educated]? Are they lucky? Non-accident prone? Do they come out of tough situations for the better? Are they optimistic? Realistic? Idealistic? Are they regarded with respect? Admiration? Are they a highly decorated hero? A highly memorable villain? Do they have powers? Magic? Materia? Do they summon? What weapon do they wield? Do they use any vehicle? Are they protective? Offensive? Defensive? Patient? Do they love? Are they tough-love types? Stoic? Professional? Unflappable? Silent? Secretive? Wiry? Smooth? Altruistic? Selfish/Self preserving? Demanding? Unperturbable? Iron-willed? Creative? Literary? Artistic? Zealous? Full of energy? Ambitious?
Weaknesses: One brief paragraph about their physical or mental weaknesses, as well as any situation, item, memory they're vulnerable or susceptible to. In terms of how this looks, it'll be 5 lengthy sentences or 10 short sentences. Therefore, the average should be 7-8.
Need help? Consider these. Is your character afraid of someone? Something? Are they prone to accidents? Weak against mental, personal, physical attacks? Do they have trouble finding something to say? Do they need help to execute what they're set out to do? Do they find themselves constantly stalled by the question of morality, efficiency, purpose of an action? Are they guilty? Do they have trouble seeking help when it is obvious that they require it? If they tend to fall into a certain behavior, what makes them do so? - consider how this might be a weakness. Do they overlook things in haste or are they over-meticulous? Is there something they have an affinity, obsession, desire for to the point that they can't stop themselves unless they consciously put an effort into stopping? Is there something they hate? Something they like/dislike that leads to a flaw, a chink in their armor? Do they induce negative feelings in others because of their actions? Do they feel remorse for some of the things they have done in the past? Have they died? What did they miss/couldn't do that caused death?
History: Three paragraphs on this character's background. While this may not be the most important part of your application, this must necessarily, and unfortunately, be the longest - especially if you're applying for a main protagonist. But again, all variables considered, we can't count it against you if your character has too little canon information given. If you find yourself having trouble, contact a mod to see how this might be helped.
To help you brainstorm, try to think back to the day that this character was born. What happened then? Was something major happening? If not, why not? Was there peace? Were they born in a trouble-less setting? Might this be the cause for the way their behavior, experiences, principles, are formed? If you don't know about their birth, try to start out as early as logically possible. Based on your reasoning, what pushed this character into their career/way of life? Work slowly through the events in their lives, what they saw, how they felt, what impact (even if little) they played in these situations. In the concluding paragraph, you should have worked out the all of the physical events that have lead up to where this character is, or assumably should be, in the setting of Parameter, after the events of Dirge of Cerberus.
