Rules of Parameter RPG

Be respectful and keep the drama out of the game. Bring problems to any of the moderators, contact info is on the profile.

Post any questions about the workings of the game to the FAQ. If you do not feel comfortable asking there, feel free to approach a moderator.

Any images, sparkles/glitter text, and very long blocks of texts go behind an LJ cut. If you do not know how to do this, ask another player or moderator.

This roleplay contains mature themes so we do ask that players are over 16 years of age. This community is het, yuri, and yaoi friendly, but please keep it IC and label log ratings clearly.

There is no official age restriction on playable characters in Parameter. OC and Canon characters of all ages are allowed. However the game will not condone any unethical or serious adult situations to involve minors in our game. If any further clarification is required, please read this or contact a mod.

We ask that you keep up a minimum activity of 3 times a month. This may be a log, journal post, comment, anything you like. However, if the leniency of this rule is abused, we will enforce stricter rules.

In order to qualify for exemptions there should have been a reasonable and responsible early hiatus notice made to the mods. This means that you do not post a hiatus when you find it "convenient," the day of or one or two days before the Activity Check Post. In addition, there is no reason why you should not at least have made an attempt, an effort, to have shown a minimal 1 sample of activity.

|Updated| Failure to respond to monthly Activity Checks results in the dropping of your character(s). Please be timely about these things. We will confront the players who did not pass the Activity Check and attempt to make arrangements if there should be any exemptions, etc. However, do not take Activity Check failures lightly. We won't. If you fail the second one, we will be obligated to remove your character, you will have to re-apply, and expectations will go up.

No godmoding/metagaming. There are no exceptions.

If there are any plot devices from a character which is far-reaching and may run risk of the above (for example a major hacking attempt) we would expect all players whose characters are involved and a mod be notified to ensure godmodding or metagaming risks are nullified.

All players are allowed a maximum limit of 2 characters. This may be subject to change depending on opinion polls. If you would like to increase your character limit, please contact one of the mods.

We highly discourage players from playing 2 characters who are closely related in canon. (ie Rude and Reno, Cloud and Tifa, etc) This is mostly for the players' benefits, and believe us, the game is more fun that way.

All three communities are now under maintainer restriction to create tags. If the tag you need isn't there, and it's a legitimately good tag that may be in common use in the future, then make a visible mod note in your post so we can take care of creating one.

For organization's sake, all logs and log tags must be formatted to a standard, the guidelines for which can be found on our Log Format page.

Original Characters are allowed. However, there are some guidelines that must be followed:

1. Characters must fit in the canon Final Fantasy VII world. No vampires, elves, etc.
2. Characters cannot be related to any canon characters. No Sephiroth's sisters or Tifa's secret twin.
3. No special powers that far outstrip any of the canon characters. Magic, Limit Breaks, etc, must pertain to the original game.
